New Digest of Education Statistics Released

Last month, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) released the Digest of Education Statistics 2010. The report presents statistics pertaining to pre-kindergarten through graduate-level education, including secondary and postsecondary Career Technical Education (CTE).

Examples of CTE-related information that can be found in the Digest include:

  • The average number of credit hours earned by high school graduates in CTE courses by occupational field (Table 158)
  • U.S. Department of Education appropriations for CTE by state in FY 2009 (Table 385)

This year’s edition also displays new material, such as the percentage of adults (ages 25 to 64) who completed high school or who completed various levels of postsecondary education.

The NCES also produced a mini-digest as an easy reference for materials found in the full report.
